GENERAL INFO

   Students involved with Mock Trial will have their first Courthouse practice Monday, September 24th at the Jefferson County Courthouse at 5 pm. See Mr. Pierson in A-203 with questions.

•   The Willamette University rep will be meeting with interested students in the Conference Room at 8:30 am today. Teacher permission is required and attendance will be taken.

•   Rotary Youth Exchange Scholarship applications are now open for PTHS students! Study abroad next year! Sponsored by Port Townsend Rotary and Port Townsend Sunrise Rotary. Possible placements include Scandinavia, eastern and western Europe, Asia, South America, and Mexico. Come to the information meeting at the PTHS library, Monday 9/24 at 7 pm to learn more. Bring your parents! Age requirement: you must be between 15-17 years old on September 30th 2018, to go on exchange for the 2019-2020 school year. More info at www.rye5020.org/page/how-to-apply

•   All Redhawk Java employees, new and old - there is a mandatory meeting to discuss espresso training and scheduling. Tuesday, September 28, during lunch in room M-306. Bring a copy of your Food Handler's card.

•   Knowledge Bowl - We start practice for the 2018-19 season on Monday at lunch in room M-305. All are welcome. Please see Mr. or Ms. Dow with any questions.

•   Key Club will meet on Wednesday in the conference room at lunch. Come in and sign up for this student-led service club and learn leadership skills that will last and benefit you a lifetime.

•   Need help with college applications? Financial aid? Registering for the SAT or ACT? Mrs. Gard and Ms. Dow will be available for college help in the Library after school on Tuesdays. 

•   Meditation every week Thursday and Friday mornings, 7:50-8:05 in room M-308. The door is open, drop in and sit for a few minutes.

SENIORS                                              

•   THIS WEEK! The senior group photo date will be Wednesday, Sept. 26th at 9:50, at the beginning of 6th period, on the lawn. Wear your senior shirts!


•   Register
for the November 3rd SAT (by October 5th) or the October 27th ACT (by September 28th). Students with financial need may qualify for a Fee Waiver - see Mrs. Gard in the Counseling Office for details.

       
SPORTS INFO - THIS WEEK IN SPORTS

 

TENNIS – always check the office window before leaving school for any changes in practices or game rainouts.

Monday – Tennis players are dismissed at 2:30 pm.
