PORT TOWNSEND HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

Preserving and Celebrating PTHS History Since 1897

We have a new website: PTHS Alumni Association

On our website you will be able to download your dinner, dues and donations forms. You can also download Alumni newsletters from the current one, back to 2010. Browse articles about the evolution of PTHS Homecoming (Fall 2011), the new elevator (Spring 2018), details of Senior Balls of 1949, 1960, 1993 and 2013 (Spring 2013) and much more!

The proud tradition of Port Townsend High School dates back to 1891, when our first graduating class completed their studies. Just six years later, in 1897, six visionary young women from that class of 14, founded what has become one of the oldest continuously-meeting high school alumni associations in the nation.

Keeping the Tradition Alive

Since its founding, the PTHS Alumni Association has gathered nearly every year to celebrate the shared experiences and enduring bonds of our graduates.

Our signature event, the PTHS Alumni Banquet, takes place the second weekend of June and includes:

  • A welcoming dinner for the newest graduating class - free for graduates! (Even though your dinner is free, we still need a dinner order form turned in by the due date.)
  • A golf tournament to raise funds for scholarships
  • A 50/50 raffle for scholarships
  • A wonderful opportunity for alumni from all classes to reconnect and reminisce

Be sure to reserve your dinner—a simple form is available to secure your spot. Be mindful of the due date for the dinner reservation form, as we have to give the caterer an accurate count of dinners for our guests. Check the website for the dinner order due date and to download your form. Any of this year’s graduates can get their dinner reservation form outside the Main Office at PTHS.

Find Us at the Jefferson County Fair

Each year, we host a booth at the Jefferson County Fair during the second weekend of August. Come by to browse historic photos, learn more about the association, and say hello!

PTHS Alumni Hall of Fame

In April 2025, we proudly hosted the inaugural PTHS Alumni Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. This exciting new tradition will continue each year on the first Saturday in April at PTHS. Nomination forms will be available at the banquet and on our website, with a submission deadline of October 1st.

And…

We're looking for volunteers to host in our newly established Alumni Room, located at the front of the gym, which will be open during games. Email for more info: [email protected]

We offer PTHS Alumni apparel on our website, too. Here is a link to our Marketplace.

Do you remember the PTHS Alma Mater?
Practice up, as we sing it at the close of the Alumni Banquet, also at the end of football and basketball games.
 PTHS Alma Mater
In a city by the water
Reared against the sky
Proudly stands our alma mater
As the years go by
Forward ever be our watchword
Conquer and prevail
Hail to thee our alma mater
Townsend High all hail
